Poetry as Spiritual Practice

I think a lot about the act of asking real questions in poems as a kind of spiritual practice. I ask questions relatively often in poems, and I ask them because I don't know the answer, and because I think poems are fantastic spaces to deal with real conundrums--to go as far as you can down the road of understanding something, and then sometimes finding that at the end of that road there's another question.
