I really was stunned to read Justin McGuirk's thinking on the scalability of craft--he implicitly chastises people  for liking too-pricey "pre-industrial" handcrafted work while ignoring the ongoing decentralization of manufacturing itself that will make crafted goods more affordable, more scalable, and thus more accessible than ever before.
